When I pull TV cable all the way towards the passenger compartment my shifts are terrific, only the throttle body wont't open all the way and performance suffers. Any way to have my cake and eat it too!!! Ps this is on a vette, the "vette" forum guys aren't as knowledgeable, in general, as you f-body guys are...

 

To set the TV cable, pull it all the way back like you did, then open the throttle all the way by hand and you should hear the TV cable ratchet itself to the correct setting. If your shift points are still not not correct, then it is most likely an internal transmission problem, or a fluid level problem.
