I know i can probably fabricate these, but do they look like it would be worth it? It says that they can make like 12hp and 19 ft/lbs. seems like it might be worth it. opinions???

IMHO, I think ram air on a street car just plain sucks. It turned my car into a steet sweeper. I found things ranging from dragon flies, to leaves and acorns lodged in my K&N's. I also took it off for a while, then made passes at the track on the same night to verify it's performance gain. I went from a 13.26 avg. to a 13.28 avg. - it seemed to MPH better w/o the ram air. I've seen it work for other people, but it wasn't worth a damn to me.

how can you show accurate gains from a chassis dyno on a ram air kit? you have to be driving (actually moving at higher speeds) to get a ram air effect. they might have just taken out the air filter or something cuz it just doesn't sound right
just do what i did. cut out the bottom of the air box so that when you look up from the ground you can see the air filters. that may be the difference they noticed. i doubt that much of a gain from what i did but you really can't tell from the sotp dyno

I don't know about performance gains, but after I did the homemade ram-air my MAT sensor read under 100 degrees. Before the ram-air I was at 117ish. This is with the TB bypass as well.
