what fuel pump?

As I am in the middle of my Carb 2 TPI swap

I was wondering if any one could suggest an external fuel pump I could use so I dont have to drop out my fuel tank

I want to hook it up by the fuel tank hopefully one that will thread into the stock fuel filter and just suck right off the original sending unit

I am replacing the fuel lines form the tank to engine

i'm not 100% sure but won't you have to take out the old pump anyways? won't it restrict the flow?

someone that knows for sure please post.

sorry i wasn't thinking.
i'm not sure on a external fuel pump cuz i'm still using the stock one.
someone has to know though.
if not just look in jegs and stuff and find one that can put out the higher psi required for fuel injection

Use external pump from 88-89 ford truck with 302 FI. This is master part number E2000.

I'm no expert, but I think you'll have to drop the tank anyway. Carbed engines dont have a fuel return line like fuel injected engines do. You have a couple of options:

1. Drop the tank, install an in-tank EFI fuel pump that include the fuel return line.

2. Drop the tank, add a fuel return line to the top of it next to the rest of the fuel lines, and use an external pump.

I am certainly no expert at this, but that is just what comes to mind. Hope this helps.
