Fuel pressure setting.... HELP!!!

I am reading on the boards that the stock setting is around 46 PSI. I have an Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator on my L98 and I just installed an Accel fuel pressure gauge. It is reading 35 PSI!!! That means I have been driving around for the last two years with 35 PSI.

I was only able to turn it up to 37PSI. It seems pretty difficult to change, because the distributor wires, etc are in the way. What is an easy way to quickly change the pressure? What PSI should I probably be running (approx) with the mods that I have?

Any help/comments/info will be greatly appreciated.

Ballpark, I'd say you want to be around 45psi. But I'm not familiar with aftermarket pressure regulators, sorry.

I asked a question a few days back about FP
at idle and was informed by Vader that it was
37 +/- 3psi. Check some the earlier posts on setting FP. For your info my FP at idle is 36
psi and set at 41 psi for wot. Just had car dyno and this was optimal setting for me.

Are you checking the PSI with the vaccuum line off it? If not you should be. Disconnect the vaccuum line and plug it with your finger and then check the pressure. If you leave the vaccuum line on you get a false reading.

Yeah, i have been checking it with the vacuum hose on and guess that i was wrong in that. Where exactly is this vacuum hose so i can disconnect it next time.
Thanks,
J.R.

Follow the FPR to the plenum and you cant miss it its the only vac. line running to the FPR.
