Ok, while doing the recent cam swap, I had to un-hook the air cond. of course, so I decided to scrap the A/C. The compressor is still there until I can get a replacement pulley. Can I also get rid of the smog pump? will this have any adverse effects on driveability, etc? I plan on getting headers later on and don't want those damn air tubes on there.

No driving problems on if you have smog check that you might get it on a visual, or in the sniff you might but if no smog check then go for it, Dyno results lower down show a 3hp gain on smog belt alone.
