serpintine belt size

I did the search so please no blasting, I have just got a complete under drive pulley system, and my belt is routed for the NON-smog pump now.

But you have to have a shorter belt since the size of the crank is so much smaller....like 1 3/4 inches, the tensioner can not make that up, plus the tensioner would hit the water pump pulley.

does anyone know the length I would need...
or would I be safe to get one that is about 1 3/4 smaller than 96.8 I have now?

any help would be great

thanks

Re: serpintine belt size

sounds to me like you already know what you need.
I would say yes to the 1 3/4" shorter belt.
Sorry, don't have a part number for ya.

Re: serpintine belt size

Get a tap measure. (Fabric one) and route it the same as a belt. Then figure in the tentioner. Or just buy a crapload from the part store and return what you dont use!

Why don't you get the smog pump delete pulley?
You can still use the same belt and it doesn't look like something's missing in the front of the engine.....IMHO.
