Surging and loss of power

Engine: 396 sbc

Transmission: t5

Axle/Gears: 3.23

Surging and loss of power

92 z28 350 TPI

I have engine codes 32 and 43
egr and the knock sensor I think is what they are

Will these 2 situations combined cause the car to surge and have a loss of power only when the check engine light is on?
This is the only time I notice the car not running right
Can someone please help me?

a knock sensor code will definately retard your timing and could cause surges in your performance. Check for lose brackets.
