Can you port the part between the TB holes?
Can you port the part between the TB holes?
Like the subject..... Can you port the bridge between the two holes so that it is like a square (i know there will be a triangle thing at the bottom that you can not port) I know a lot more air will be able to fill the plenum.... what are some benifits and stuff etc. thanks

Adding an airfoil is supposed to be good for a few CFM. With so many aftermarket TBs available, it might not be worth the effort, unless you just want to be able to say you did it yourself.

88 IROC with cobbled together (not by me)drivetrain, 86 (?) TPI unit on an '83 305,CE subframe connectors, Edelbrock strut tower brace, polygraphite bushings all around...it handles like a dream, but man is it hard to push!!

This has just been covered about twice in the past few weeks, but i'll recap. Cutting out the divide between the TB bores in the plenum will probably serve no purpose. It *may* actually hurt more than it helps b/c the air leaving the TB will now have a sudden transition to the plenum, rather than a nice smooth taper that that area provides. Not that the turbulence created is necessarily significant enough to hurt flow (someone pointed out that the SR has only one big opening in it), it's just that why bother when the smoother entry can't hurt either. I'm sure you're not going to get any real power gains from the small increase in plenum volume.

actualy the airfoil isn't supposed to help until your running 500 HP. just thought yall would like to know. and im not trying to sound smart or flame anyone, cause heck, i have one to

On my SuperRam there are two quite large throttle bores, I'd guess twin 58mm? I'm not sure if the new ones are the same but mine is not one big hole. Just sayin.
