24 LB injectors ????

24 LB injectors ????

Would putting 24 lb injectors on a 305 help gas mileage or no??? and would it help at all horsepower wise????

Nope. They are like bigger jets in a car. They allow more top end flow. The computer will adjust accordingly. Now, if your other ones are dirty or not matched, new ones would DEF help!

Way too big,even for a modded 305. Stick with 19lb'ers and run the fuel pressure around 43-46psi.

Like said earlier, if your current ones are junk or are on their way out you could always put the 24lbs in , but you'll definatly need to reprogram the prom for the change or you'll be running VERY rich.

Good question

I have a cammed 305 and a spare set of 22's but i've never seen my car scanned and dont know if i NEED 22's, or if they'd only fatten the car up.

90% of the time the only reason to put larger injectors on a 305 TPI is if you're running a power adder. If you're not, the 19lbs and higher fuel pressure are just fine.

If you do put larger injectors in, you will need a custom chip, otherwise it WILL run too rich!
