Removing Fuel Rails
Removing Fuel Rails
How the heck do you get them off???? I have the 4 bolts on top out, the one on the front of the intake off, they are loose, but will not come off. Also, in looking, I don't see any clips on the injectors at all.
Thanks,

there is a good chance that your fuel rail has never been taken off!you'll need to use quite a bite of force to seperate the injectors for the intake base.it mite help using a screwdriver to pry them out but be very carefull not to damage the injector.
there should be a "c" type clip holding the injector to the fuel rail.

i would try some wd-40 or something on the base of the injectors too. it cant hurt and may help the o-rings slide out.

I had the same problem, my TPI set up was never taken off before and I had to replace the EGR. I posted here for the answer. What I got was to spray some WD-40 on the injector O-rings (where they go into the manifold) and I let them set for a day, when I came back to them the next morning the popped right out with a small amout of effort. The "clips" are not really visible to you right now, but you will see the clearly when you remove the rails (the rails & injectors come out as a single unit)
then you can turn the clips and take the injectors out. This site has helped me thru a lot of tuff (so I thought anyway) projects.
If you have any more questions let me know, since I just done the same thing, or ask one of these guys here.........Bombero

i had this problem the other day. i drank a few beers to relax my mind and boom, it came to me. Use a 3/4" open ended wrench, slip it between the lip on the injector and the manifold, popped right out.
