my serpitine belt exploded...now i have trouble codes.

about a month or so ago i was driving and i my belt exploded/ripped to pieces. luckily i was about a 1/4 mile from an auto store and i replaced the belt there in the parking lot, ever since then though i have had a "service engine" light on the whole time the car is running. the car runs fine but i didnt know if i had to reset something since the belt threw. my other car had multiple v-belts so i never had this problem with the computer.

Try checking the code.. the belt may have knocked a connector loose(Im thinking maf, tps, iac, etc.. )

Its more than likely the MAF connector or wires got messed up. Check those out.
