hey all,

i am trying to get my car back running after putting an edelbrock intake, runners, ported and opened up the runners, intake, etc. afpr, etc.


my engine is a reman (acdelco) with less than 20k on it. i just went to time it and discovered i have NO TIMING MARK BRACKET!! the tards that installed the new engine for the previous owners didn't transfer the timing bracket, install another one, nothing. i have a white line painted on the block, which i assume is the correct timing (6 deg) but it could be 0 deg (no marks or writing, just a line). anyone have any ideas? i can buy a bracket at the parts store, but i have no idea what you bolt it to.

the idle is rough, with occasional pops. i am going to do some data logging to see what i got for sensor readings.

here's a request... can anyone show me a picture of where the timing marks are supposed to be on an 88 tpi 350?

ok.. thats what i figured as a replacement. how hard is it to install one of those in the car?
