Question about effects of siamesing intake......

I already know how to do it, but am just trying to figure out my exact aproach. After thinking it through, i can see how siamesing the plenum to the runners would help the air flow better into the runners, but if you have regular style runners( 4 seperate tubes on each side) what would be the point of siamesing the intake base and bottom half of the runners, if the flow is already separated, why would you open it up again between the base and bottom of the runners , just for it to be separated again???
to me this seems like it would create some unnecessary turbulence in that area, and it wouldn't help flow more air overall,so wouldn't it be better to try and create the thinnest possible wall between the two passages at this joint??????
feel free to express your honest opinions here

By siamesing the base you are effectively letting each cylinder breathe through 2 runners instead of one.
Considering the success that the man they called 'max' and many others have had, there is definitely not a power robbing turbulence issue with this mod. Further, it seems low end torque is also not seriously compromised either, which would be the only other potential negative.

Hey max...i was thinking of firing order as it relates to this mod and it occurs to me that since 5 & 7 are next to each other in the firing order, i would think it might be better to not siamese those 2. The rest of the runner pairs are seperated by 5/3 or 3/5 so there is plenty of time for the 'new common plenum' to refresh between intake strokes. In the case of 5/7 it would seem that 5 might 'steal' charge from 7. Then again, maybe there is a greater inertial effect on 7 b/c the column of air is always moving from 5. Hmmmm, anti tuned port weirdness. Any thoughts?

I'll take a look at my 5 and 7 plugs, see how they compare to the rest. Car needs new plugs anyways.
