How did you plumb your inline fuel pump?

Hi All!
Just recieved my inline elctric fuel pump from Summit and wanted to know how you plumbed this beast inline? There is a high pressure rubber line that joins the sender(pump)to the chassis fuel lines. I was going to install between these but the brass fittings I had were either pipe thread or standard threads and neither would seal? Were do I get brass fittings that has the O-ring type threaded fittings like on the car??
Any different way of plumbing this in? I really appreciate any thoughts or help!

Thanks a bunch!

you might try www.aeroquip.com i am not sure of the size but aero part #is fcm2608 for the m16 x 1.5 and the fcm2609 is m18 x 1.5
they are listed "for use with saginaw power steering fittings and also gm fuel injection conversion for metric o-ring style porting"

also the phone # is (419)8915100
i have the full catalog of aeroquip performance products and thats what i found.
hope that helps

You are looking for what they call a Sagniaw fitting.

I only found Accel that offered an adapter to convert these to AN fittings, or had a 6" length of fuel line with these ends.

I also heard from another person that he found the same 6" line and end at a local auto parts store.

Make sure to use HIGH pressure fuel line for any rubber connections (and the special hose clamps).

Mark.

For the saginaw fittings I used the accel saginaw to AN fittings, and then some more fittings to turn it into NPT pipe thread, and then some more fittings to turn it into hose barb. Like 7 fittings in all, pretty insane. Oh, and you dont need high pressure hose for the return line, only the supply side. No restriction on the return line so theres little if any pressure. This saves you some bucks considering the high pressure line is like $4-$5 a foot IIRC.
