roller rockers

I'm going to install edelbrock 6085 heads on my motor and just wanted to know if i have to go with self aligning rockers used on stock heads or can I go with non-self aligning. I want to go with 1.6's. If you could give me some options and P/N that would be great, thanks.

I'm pretty sure you can use self aligning if you don't use guide plates, or non self aligning with guide plates. When I first had my engine put together they used self aligning ones and I told them to take it apart and use guideplates and non-self aligning ones because it's more stable at high rpms IMO..

chech with edelbrock some aftermarket manufactors cast the heads in a way so you wont need guideplates.
