carb to tpi

okay gang i have a idea i not to sure if its smart or stupid but was wondering if you guys can help me out

i have a 88 safari van that i swapped in a 350 carb. (yes v8) right now it has a pre 87 heads but i wanted to swap in a TPI setup.

right now i have a 87 TPI MAF setup on the side am thinking about swapping in. not to sure if its worth the time or money to do something like this but i really wanted TPI.

i cant use the TPI base on the pre 87 heads right? or can it? with special washers for the center bolts? or do i need to find a corvette tpi base or buy the over priced aftermarked TPI base?

or should i just buy a 3rd gen lol

Re: carb to tpi

Many have simply just drilled the center bolt holes at a steeper or straighter angle(not exactly sure how to correctly term it) but the center holes on the intake 'should' match the angle as the other outer holes to make it work. I have never done this, but I know many people said they have and it worked just fine. This is only what I have read/heard so please take it as you may. HTH
