'88 1/4 mile time question...

Hey guys! Very cool site you have here.
I'm looking at picking up an 88 <maybe> I took it to the track tonight to see what it would do first...it ran 15.91 then 15.97 <6400ft elev.> It has 110k miles on it. Are these times off? What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance

i dont remember the elevation correction factors, 65Z01 on corvetteforum.com could prolly help you out with those. but if that car was a 305 those times might have been right around normal. i think denver is pretty high up. my stock 350 iroc z ran a best of a 14.1 at pretty much sea level. at sea level ive seen stock 305 TPI irocs run 15.0 flats. look at the RPO codes and see if the car has G92 performance rear end code.

1989 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z L98 A4 Black Ext./Grey Int.
SDPC2000 H.O. TPI Crate Engine
2.77:1 Gears

1989 Chevy Corvette L98 A4 Black/Black Coupe
Stock 95k miles
3.07:1 Gears

the vette is faster, i guess due to wieght and gearing.

I'm lilredcorvette on the CF. I posted about the Iroc in the C4 tech section. Anyway.. it's a 350 not a 305, has 2.73<?> gears
The air quality was 6400 ft both times I ran. This is my first experience with an iroc. I was really hoping it would be faster than the vette so I could quit beating up on it at the track. I'm thinking about keeping the Iroc anyway and just building it up myself. It'll be a fun winter project
I'll more than likely become a fixture here.

Holy crap!!! 6400 feet!!! It's a wonder you can breathe up there let alone your car. Well I checked the NHRA altitude correction table and it only goes up to 6000 so I did a little figuring with 6400 feet and I came up with a corrected et of 14.79@6400 feet, which is a respectable time for that car.
