How to tell injectors apart
How to tell injectors apart
Is there a way to tell lbs/hr by looking at an injector, my buddy bought a TPI and we don't know if it was off a 350 (22 lbs) or a 305 (19 lbs) Also could we pick up some injectors off an LT1, 24 lbs right, and throw them on without any major problems?
Ps. Please correct me if I got any thing worng here, those flow rates are correct?

The injectors will have a part number on them somewhere, most likely in really small embossed type near the connector.
Once you have the part numbers try searching around on the board for it and see what you find. If you can't find it that way, post it and somebody will prolly know.

I don't know if that is all true though mike. For example, you are at least backwards in saying 22s are gray and the 19s are black, cuz i have black 22s from an 88 MAF car in my LB9 right now, and the stock injectors were gray 19s.
If he's holding the injectors it's just as easy to look at teh PN as it is to go by color...

I use to think the same thing as Desert, but I am now thinking as Ed. I think the color probably has more to do with the manufacturer.
PS: My injectors on my L98 have purple tops.

I have a list you can look at:
http://www.epsb.net/~mstrembi/injectors.htm
Scroll to the bottom the a GM TPI injector list. I only have the ones from 85-89 or so.
Mark.
