how do i remove all those smog hoses so i have a cleaner looking engine compartment

 

You can pretty much just pull them off. This, of course, is all hypothetical, because giving you explicit instructions may be illegal. There are two solenoids encased in a plastic behind the compressor. A person, if he felt so inclined, could disconnect the weatherpak connectors, and take off the solenoids and all the tubing that connects to them.If that person were to have headers, the diverter valve on top of the air injection tubes needs to be capped off. They never function correctly when people hypothetically pull off the tubes. One could also delete the smog pump by buying a new belt and re-routing it. I believe those details are posted in the tech section on this board. Have a hypothetically good time with that.
