First what is a Jasper engine? Do they do good rebuilds? What do they change, do they still use the L98 block?

How much is a new Jasper 350 worth in a good condition T-Top TA?

Jasper puts together a real nice engine & they use a lot of good stuff. Everything they build comes w/ a 3year/75,000 mile warranty which is pretty hard to beat! Also, I believe their 350's come w/ hypereutectic pistons which is an added bonus. Price for the engine new...about $1400 to $1600 I guess...they cost a little more but the stand behind their warranty!

I'm not saying anything to lure you away, and I don't have any personal experience with the motors myself but I've heard of a few guys from the local HiPo school in Lima saying that they have taken them apart to find various sized values and other mismatched parts in the motors... Now thats just hearsay so take it for what you will..

You got me all wrong, I'm not planning to build a motor, I'm looking at a car that has the motor in it. Tolday I took a look at the car. It has a 4-bolt main 350 bored .040 over and Edelbrock as far as the eye can see. From the intake manifold to the air cleaner to the headers. It has a 750 cfm carb on it so I guess I better start frequenting the Carb board cause TPI's all I know.

Anyways this motor with a 3.08 Posi /Drums and Flowmaster all in a totally rust free nice looking 89 T-Top TA. What's it worth do you think?

BTW The motor has 3000 miles on it and the brakes in the car are shot. Also has some minor ignition problems. Looks nice and shiny though
