Any one ever use the runner dent removal kits sold on Ebay? do they work as good as they say. 9% better flow than stock?

Re: runner dent removal kit
Seems like a good way to get the dents out, but I don't know if I believe the "better flow" part...

As long as the dent isn't "sharp" fill with water and lay them in a deep freeze. Might take a couple times for a large dent. Works everytime and it's free. I've been doing it for year with two-stroke motorcycle pipes.

Can you leave the runner ends open? I see what you're saying there but my first thought tells me that as it froze it would expand up through the openings at the ends of the runners.

I've always left the end open. Try it for yourself and then post up the results.

Re: runner dent removal kit
I just did this last week! I left about a half inch of clearance between the water and the top of the runners. The water froze, and didn't seem to rise at all. Left them in about 14 hours and almost all the dents came out. It worked great, plus it was free! Thanks to Apache John for the tip!

You could also take it to a music instrument shop that fixes & repairs horns. The guy at The Music Center here in my town got the dents 100% perfect in about 5 minutes and didn't charge me a dime (he was a car guy).

Re: runner dent removal kit
Did anyone measure an increase in the size of the runner when they froze them?

Re: runner dent removal kit
i have done it for years. but, forget the water, use Miller light.. Not only does it taste great but its less filling and expands when frozen much better than plain tap. If you want to expand the runners at the same time you have to use duct tape on the ends. As the Miller expands it pushes off the tape to allow the excess to bleed out. The runners gain about 10 thousants inner diameter after the freeze. Do they flow better? I don't know but they look better with no dents. You can also use Mich light or coors light, but, my experience is that the miller has just the right amount of water to malt for my runners taste.
