satsfactory oil psi?

i have an 85 t/a was sitting for 2 yrs and the oil pressure at idle is about 25-27 lbs normally ive seen them in the 30's at a cruise it has oil psi of about 45
the oil is 2 years old 5w30 i know it needs to be changed

but is this acceptable oil psi readings? it just turned 100k

Re: satsfactory oil psi?

That doesn't seem bad. my 87 LB9 get 30 at idle about 50 at cruise after it warms up. I don't know the mileage speedos way off. One of my squawks. but what do you want, I only have 350.00 in the poor beat Z28.

Re: satsfactory oil psi?

That's decent pressure at idle. Changing your oil and filter it may perk it up a little. Once the filter gets too clogged, oil will flow through the filter bypass, causing unfiltered oil to circulate through the system.
