Oil Pressure switch?

The sensor right above the oil filter was leaking, so I had a spare new one (for a 89 TPI, mines a 88). and its a 3pin instead of a 2 pin my car had, now I put it on anyway, no leaks, but the oil pressure gauge still works are the car runs fine? Explain? lol

Re: Oil Pressure switch?

I gotta replace the same thing. Mine not only leaks, but the gauge is pegged all the way to the right. No issues with the car running though.

I've just been lazy with getting a replacement.

If it's 3 pin and your connector was 2 pin, where'd the third pin go?

My harness is 2 pin, the switch in there now is 3, and its NOT hookedup, I just tied the connector out of the way lol..
