Street vehicle without Idle Air Control

What would need to be done to run a daily driven car without Idle air control? Would the car just need to be tuned very good, or is it not possible? The reason I ask is becuase I have found a DFI system that looks nice, but it does not include an idle air control circuit. Thanks guys.

i just think the idle might be a little high with the throttle plates open a little, foot on the gas starting it etc.

The IAC isn't just about idle.
It acts as a throttle follower, and as a dash pot in overrun. Both of which prevent alot of stalling.

An ecm without IAC is primitive, in all honesty.
You really have to sepnd a bunch of money to get anything approaching anything as good as a GM ecm. Trouble is they take a while to learn.
