Are these the same???

I have a set of '87 350 (L98) heads off a roller block and I want to port them and put them on my 92 Z. are they the same in design or does one have advantages over the other? Thanks...also casting #'s would be nice b/c I dont have the heads locally and cant check them.

I beleive that from 87 to 88 and up, they changed the bolt patern on the heads. I'm not 100% sure though.

They changed the intake bolt angle from '86 to '87 as my '87 has the newer bolt angle. The '87 heads probably have a different casting number since GM made some changes to the exhaust ports in '88 and who knows what else, but they'll still bolt right up. You can check casting numbers at www.mortec.com
