i bought a 305 TPI motor whats the best way to clean the intake manifold,runners,Plenum,etc....And can i paint it.

 

I put mine in the dishwasher to clean the outside. I also bought some industrial strength cleaning agent to dissolve the oil and carbon on the insides of the runners.

i brought mine into work and sand blasted the base,plenum and runners.i spent 2 hours sand blasting and 4 days cleaning out all the sand.it took awhile to do but nothing will get them cleaner.and yes you can paint them just don't paint the inside.
