Whos got the cleanest...

i'd like to see some pictures of peoples tpi car's engine compartments. i was wondering who had the cleanest best looking tpi engine setup. i'm currently in the process of doing a full engine swap from an 87 t/a to an 84 firebird. i was wondering about how long would you estimate it would take, i'm switching the engine tranny rear end, and suspension. what do you guys think?

Heres a pic of mine. I ditched the AC and smog equipment. Next think im going to do is bypass the heater valve and get a non AC heater box.

I'm not sure what you mean by "clean". Either cleanest, or most naked. This one is fairly clean, but cluttered (bone stock look):

MikeInAZ has an engine compartment that is suitable surgical preparation, but the "table" would get a little uncomfortable. Unfortunately, some of the links on his site aren't working for me right now.

Hope you don't mind that it's a Vette instead of a thirdgen... It's still a TPI motor, the components are the same!

A hint if I can offer to those looking for a clean engine bay.

Go to GM and buy a new coolant overflow bottle and a new windshield washer bottle. They both go ALONG way to making that engine bay look clean. The best part, they are cheap.

Mark.

I'm not sure if this is going to work or not since it is a geocities site and they usually don't like hosting pics for other websites, but here goes:

It is fairly clean.... I have cleaned it up more since this picture was taken (Aug 2001) but it is a race car (I wish....lol) first, show car .... a distant second... hehe... ........ It was a V-belt setup so when I extracted the emissions control devices and (most of) the A/C it really cleaned it up... Now why in the he11 would I go to a serpentine setup?? I just don't understand why people do that 'mod' ..........

Now - if I could just find an A/C delete heater box!! ....... (hint: if you know of one or have one, email me!)

Thanks!

I bought the optional billet plenum lid and polished the whole thing. The billet lid is pretty much a flat slab of billet aluminum.
