lost a bolt
lost a bolt
ok, this weekend i when i was putting on my intake plenum and runners after porting the intake and cleaning out the carbon, I lost a bolt on the upper plenum. I don't think its leaking, as vacumm is good and idles at 600. but i still want to get a bolt in before something happens. i went up to home depot and NONE of those bolts would work. can i get them from Pep Boys or the dealership? all the local junk yards here always pull then engines and are bitches when it comes to getting parts off the engines.

Just go to your local hardware store, take one of the plenum bolts with you to size with, and replace them all with allen head stainless steel. Much nicer to look at, and easier to deal with.

Just to make it easier, the bolt thread size/pitch is 8mm X 1.25. I have a tap in that size at home.
