im thinking of buying an 85'Z28 w/ 42,000 original miles on it. however, i have heard some bad things about them seeing as it was the 1st year of TPI f-bodies. will i regret buying it? im also thinking that 6,000 is a bit steep even if it is in mint condition. any coments would be apreciated.

 

does it have the crappy MAF sensor?

if it is a 85 tpi then it has MAF. i didnt have too many problems with my 85 as far as the tpi goes. 6000 is kinda steep but if it only has 42000 miles on t i guess it isnt that bad. does it run and drive ok?

yes, i know it IS maf... but there is suposidly a different type of maf in the 85'... and i can say this much there is NO way i would pay 6,000 unless it is totally mint.
