Assuming that you are keeping everything stock, you will need a different base or do a little grinding (I'm told its not that bad)to make it fit those '88 heads. GM went with a little different bolt pattern in '87-'92 TPI's.

The grinding is not bad; I used a rat-tail file and was done in under an hour. Air or power tools should make short work of elongating the center bolt slots.

Whoops! I was thinking of putting an '87+ intake on pre-'85 heads. Other than possibly having the machine shop do a little drilling, or following afgun's advice, I am really not sure. I would be willing to bet the machine shop can do something for you though if you take the intake in with the heads. Sorry 'bout that.

Dang it! Just not with it today! To answer the rest of your question, your current ECM from the '86 should work, though I would recommend a new memcal from a 350 ($40 from a dealer or $20 from a junkyard). In case you don't have the ECM, it is the #1227165 one. You will also need a new knock sensor, and a couple of other things I have forgotten. This should get you started though. The rest of the guys should prove helpful on this topic. There should be some stuff in the archives on this as well.

You will also need some 22# injectors for the 350.
