Restrictive intake

my mods are in my sig, but I just bought the hawks air box's, along with gutting below the airbox with k&n airfilters. Is this going to be to restrictive, or should I invest some time into a cold air intake. Let me know what you guys think

Re: Restrictive intake

What I am going to do is fab up a cold air intake and then at the track switch between that and the stock gutted air box with the hawks boxes. And see the difference between the two. Anyone have any similar experiences
