please help

i have a 89 iroc z my tach is skipping ????????? what can be causing this i replaced the coil and that didn't help please help!!!!!!!!!!

does that mean the engine is missing or is it just the tach if its missing i would change the ignition module if its no it sounds like you need a new tach.

the engine is skipping and the tach has a jump to it. it jumps about 200 to 300 rpms but the engine doesn't change. i replaced the ignition control module, spark plugs wires and the cap and rotor and the motor is still skipping what do i do??????????????

you could have a bad plug a bad wire or a bad pickup go out there at night and see if any thing arks if its not that the only things left are a wiring problem or a bad computer.

make sure the plug wires arent crossed up,unplug the tach wire and replug it. look for simple things first,later jimmy
