need some help
I am about to start a swap and need to move my car. I went to do it and it died. I ran out of gas. Easy fix right? not so much. I put 4 gallons of gas in the car and it still wont start. I sprayed a very little bit of gas in the intake, and it fired right up... then died.
Questions:
Should i hear the fuel pump come on when i turn the key on? I dont hear anything.
I read up on this, and i heard that the oil pressure will send a charge to the fuel pump.. While turning over, my oil pressure will go up to normal, still no start.
I also replaced the battery because it sat for a long time, but that was after all of the above while on a jump.
I am not the original owner, and there is a lot of stuff disconnected under the hood. I know they took the a/c out..
Does anyone have a diagram of where to look if you talk about relays?
Also i have ran into this before and the simple answer was check the distributor wiring. That connector got borken and the previous owner just zip tied it once connected.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is redundant to other threads. I am just lost at this point...

Re: need some help
You should hear the fuel pump when the key is turned to "run" position. Do a search for the fuel pump pin on the ALDL connector. I believe you can supply 12v to that pin and power the pump long enough to move car; assuming the fuel pump isn't dead..
