overwieght 87 iroc-z caused by TPI?

the door sticker on my 87 IROC-Z says it is 4222lbs. i see that most people on here say that theres comes in between 3600 and 3800lbs. so is mine just eating to much rice or is it just a heavy figure put out by gm.

The number on the sticker is assuming that you have a full passenger load, 4 people at roughly 200lbs a peice.

My car weights roughly 3300 lbs. I drove out to the scale and that is the best way to weigh your car.

89Iroc, 305 TPI, WC T5, 3.08 Posi, Headers, Hooker Y-Pipe, 3 inch over the axle, Flowmaster 80, No Cat, Aluminium Driveshaft, Ported Plenum, Air Foil, K&N, AFPR, All free mods,
