How hard is it to remove smog equipment?

is it simple unbolting?
if anyone has pics or links i would appreciate it? i know there is a tech article on this site,, any others?
and is there a noticeable increase in hp? any ses codes?
is there a huge increase in emissions?
my car passes NYC dyno emmissions easy with no cat, right now.

It won't pass a visual inspection anymore. IF the car's been running (which it prolly will since you'd be waiting in line), You should have no problem passing emmisions.

There's no noticable HP increase, even in the 'butt-dyno'

I did it mostly to start clearin up the engine bay, save weight, and i don't want a new cat or headers w/ air fittings.

There'll be no codes thrown by its removal.

You'll need a new belt. (98.6" in our case I believe) I went to depot and bought 9 small pipe-plugs for the factory air fittings and cat, put on for peace of mind since I believe they're "one-way" anyways.

It took me and KZad 2 hours if I remember correctly. But then again, I am very very slow at car work

Just saw the fact that u have no cat now. In that case, if you passed emmisions without a cat, this should be cake.
