Missing, crazy fuel injector numbers
Ok my car(91 t/a 305 tpi) has a steady miss, and a lack of power sometimes. Sometimes It runs great and pulls hard, then sometimes it will stumble and is slower than a beat 2.8 v6. timing, plugs, cap and rotor, all good. I decided to check the injector resistance numbers, and they are crazy. Ill make a list. If i understand how fuel injectors work, shouldnt this be crashing the inj. driver or make the car not run at all? Which ones would be the problem with it running? Im assuming the low resistance ones are bad, but then why does the car run at all, or even run good sometimes? im probably just going to replace them all. Thanks for any help!

Re: Missing, crazy fuel injector numbers
there can be many reasons why a motor that has bad injectors will sometimes run fine & other times it will barely even start & run, its anyone's guess. maybe the short circuit in the shorted injectors goes away for a little while, maybe it has to do with the voltage the ECM is getting at the time or how hot it is.
you have 7 that are out of range, the injectors with low resistance are the worst ones.
if those were in my motor, i would replace all of them.

Yeah thats what i figured. What is the flow rating for the 305 injectors? Would it be worth it to get these cleaned and rebuilt or to just get new ones?

Well today when it was missing, I reved it and it backfired a bunch of times out the exhaust. That to me tells me it is indeed getting fuel, its just not burning it. So now im going to replace all the injectors and the plugs and wires. Any ideas?

FIC or go to their website (www.fuelinjectorconnection.com) tell jon frank from 3rd gen told to call. Buy a set of Bosch injectors for like 169. Do not use multecs they are really no good. I have 2 cars with these injectors and both run better than ever with better gas mileage

Re: Missing, crazy fuel injector numbers
Ok def gonna order those up when i get paid. I got around to changing my CEL bulbs and pulling the codes...43 and 42. Would these have anything to do with shot injectors? Or be consistent with my problems? what exactly do these codes mean? it says ... OR.... OR.... for both of them. Im thinking the tps cause it hesistates a lot. It doesnt knock or anything and it actually doesnt run half bad most of the time just down on power. Still spins wheels and whatnot
