in tank pump failed can i put in a external pump?

Hello all, have a tpi 305 with a internal fuel pump. Pump is toat would like to put a external Holley EFI pump on. (point is I dont want to drop the tank) is this possible? will it work?

Thats a trick question.

You can try it. There are people that have done that and had no issues, and people that have had issues and had to pull the intank.

thanks, i am just concerned that the fuel will not be able to pass freely through the old pump
