305 w/10.5:1 CR; What CHIP changes?
Let's see a basically stock 305 TPI bored .30 over, 10.5:1 pistons. No AIR, stock TB without water flow, freeflow 3" exhaust, 700 r 4, 3.27.1 rear.
What chip changes would enhance this setup, or would an after market suffice?

Go to the DIY Prom Board, click on Traxion's Prom Burning article on the top of the board and learn how to burn your own.
The key to getting power out of your engine is getting the most spark advance without incurring detonation. Depending on your heads and cam combo, your KS may start detecting detonation fairly early and pull a ton of spark advance out (retard).
So you may have to experiment with the curve, the amount of retard you are willing to allow while in WOT, the AF mixture to find the right spark/fuel combo that your engine likes.
What one guy's engine run best with will most likely be different than yours. And though you don't mention your heads, if it is based on the stock GM heads, you may find that you really can't go to much above 28-30*...then again, maybe you can.
I have found that with the stock heads, there is a very narrow band of 2* Spark Advance where the engine runs very well. 2* lower, and it seems to lack power. 2* more, and it starts to ping (if you have capped your KS).
Unless you are going to get "hands on" and do lots of testing with your eprom, you will probably not find this "narrow band". The nice thing is, all of the equipment and software can be purchased for $250, so it is price competitive with buying a custom eprom.
