fuel pressure ???

Car: 89 FORMULA 350 / 1991 RX7
Engine: 5.7 L98 / LT1
Transmission: 700R4 / 6 speed manual
Axle/Gears: 3.42 posi / 4.11 posi
fuel pressure ???

ok i put a adjustable fuel pressure reg. on my 5.7 tpi. last week and set the psi at 50psi car runs great.but when i turn it off it wont start back until i releve the fuel pressure. i can set the psi back to stock setting.it restarts fine any help would be great. thanks

Sound like you set the fuel pressure with the vacuum line connected. Disconnect the vacuum line, plug it, and THEN set your fuel pressure to 50. Then at idle, your fuel pressure with the line connected will be much lower.

the line was dis connected,when i set the pressure.

what was the outcome gta007 did you back off on the fuel pressure? did you feel a diff in performance when you installed the reg.

You nedd to use a fully adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator, it allows you to keep stock fuel pressure at all but wot. You can adjust this regulator up to twice the stock pressure and at increased ratios, "but caution is urged here, perfect fuel lines, injectors and seals are a must to prevent or reduce the risk of fire!" A RRFPR is your fix and the extra power that can be had is worth every cent, and then some!

These adjustable fuel pressure regulators, do they replace the factory one? SOrry for my apparent ignorance, its just that I'm.....well, ignorant!!! Learning, learning all the time.
