the optimum fuel pressure setting?
Just wondering what the optimum fuel pressure setting would be for my GTA with these related mods
1989 GTA 5.7 TPI
K&N filter
borla cat back
H.O. fuel pump
22lb flow matched SVO injectors
jet stage 1 prom
1.6 alluminum RRs
adjustabable FPR
3rdgen FTW!!

Re: the optimum fuel pressure setting?
Probably pretty close to stock, which is around 43PSI. The 1.6 rockers and maybe K&N intake should increase airflow a little, but probably not much. Unless you have more airflow to match, more fuel won't really do much good.

Re: the optimum fuel pressure setting?
Optimal can only be obtained with a wideband O2 sensor and ECM monitoring of the O2 voltage.
Best estimate without an wideband sensor, you still have to monitor your O2 voltage...at WOT you should try to adjust the FP for about 900-920MVs.
40 PSI won't aftect cruise, 45 PSI won't afffect cruise, but either pressue will and can affect WOT performance.
