injector question

i have reason to believe my injectors are due for replacing. i would like to upgrade and need some suggestions:
'89 iroc 305 tpi automatic: i heard the bosch type 3 24lb are good for a 350 and i can use them on a 305 with adjusted fuel pressure. anyone know about this?? milage/power etc... and any other changes i may have to make going larger than 19lb?? otherwise any suggestions??

Re: injector question

Stay away from the 24lb/hr injectors...too much for your stock 305. Search for the correct ones I've had (but others haven't) had good luck with Accels...you need/want 19's to keep from fiddling with stuff and keep the ECM happy

Re: injector question

I put a set of ford bosch 19# in my car, and they're working great. It's slightly rich at WOT, but that can be fixed by lowering the fuel pressure, or with a tune. I chose them because of the price, I only gave $65 for them off ebay, freshly cleaned. Try searching ebay for 'ford 19 injectors', you'll get a ton of results. Also, the type 3 that you're referring to is the nozzle design. Mine are design 2's, but still give a better spray pattern than the stock ones.

Re: injector question

IF your 305 has DUAL CATS, you need 21 lb injectors.

and ALL 89 up TPI cars got 21 lb from the factory.
