87 throttle body... will 91 throttle valve cable work?

87 throttle body... will 91 throttle valve cable work?
Im using my 87 305 tpi intake for a 350 with 113 heads Im doing.. My throttle valve cable is shot but I have a good one from a 91 speed density 305 tpi. I know the throttle cable has to be mached to the type of throttle body Im using but can I use the newer TV cable with my 87 throttle body? thanks.
