What do I need for MSD upgrade?

Have 85Z28 with newly rebuilt 350. Stock everything. Looking to upgrade ing. Going to do MSD ing. Need to know what all I need to make this happen. Can I use stock HEI dist. or does it have to be MSD? Also with MSD box should I use? Thanks.

If you're just looking for hotter spark, the MSD5 will suit your needs. If you want multiple-spark, then look for the MSD-6A. If you want a built-in rev limiter, the MSD-6AL is your ticket.

The MSD-6 series can be installed easily with an adapter harness from MSD which involves no cutting of your harness.

You can use the ignition boxes with your stock distributor and ignition module.

I use an MSD-6A with my stock '89 small-cap HEI (but an Accel supercoil) and use the MSD harness for easy hookup.
