what waterneck to use with edelbrock intake ?

what waterneck to use with edelbrock intake ?

This question sounds easy. I have a Edelbrock TPI intake and bought a new water neck from GM and it would not fit, I then bought an aftermarket waterneck and it did not line up either. What are you guys using that have the Edelbrock tpi base ? I am embarassed to be asking such what I think would be easy thing.

Sounds like you did not purchase a TPI water neck. They are different than your TBI.

I had to grind about 1/16 off the side and mine poped righ ton top. It would have fitted without grinding but it would have been jamed against the side.

You can grind off that stud tower and allow the stock TPI water neck to fit or take a standard TBI 305 water neck and place it backwards on the intake. Then get a top hose that fits. Trust me it keeps the hose away from belts, aftermarket air intakes and looks better.

Thats Good info... I was ready to buy that intake also and would have been a little miffed that the stock waterneck didnt fit, since I have polished mine.
