yeah so its runnin' like crap
Ok well for starters, I ran out of gas yesterday, which seemed odd to me 'cause I've made it further on less gas. So I had a buddy bring me a can with a gallon in it, more than enough to get me to the closest station. Car barely started, then as I was driving it kept acting like it wasnt getting enough fuel. It eventually died about 1/8th mile from the station. I managed to get it started again, and then it ran fine the rest of the night. About a half hour ago I dropped my friend off at his house, and as I left it did the same thing (this time with a full tank of gas). I mean I had it floored and it was still hesitating. I managed to get it home without dying, but I sat in my driveway and it was runnin like crap. Everytime I gave it gas it wanted to run less and less, and when I nailed the pedal the car just died. It's got a new fuel pump and new fuel filter, and all the injectors are new (slightly mismatched but they're all 22lbs... long story. Will be upgrading in the next couple months). The pump is a 255 walbro, but im still running the stock regulator. Did I fry the regulator and it's running too rich now? Would that explain why it dies when I give it more gas?

Since you ran your tank dry, you probably got sediment from your tank to go in your lines or injectors. You filter maybe even be a little clogged. I used to run my tank very low a lot until I had to have my injectors replaced from sediment build up in them. Now I never let my tank go less than a quarter tank. Try running some quality injector cleaner in your tank.

Yeah my car did the same thing, it was sitting for 6 years...got the fuel pump replaced. It bogged down like crazy and stalled out alot...wouldnt hold idle....untill after about 20 tanks of gas + Seafoam the problem mysteriously and completely went away....I was running it on empty alot.
So the sediments probly all gone now...but now my injectors are all leaky...and i think the reason was the sediment being sucked through them.
Good luck, change your filter or clean your tank out.
