I know it'll run cleaner with the TPI setup but I was wondering how it would affect your visual emissions test. Will they pop the hood, see no carb, and immediately fail you? I know it's kind of area specific but what would they do in your area?
Thanks,
Matt

I think you're safe.. they shouldn't make too much of a stink about a newer, better, cleaner system.. if they do, then there's problems

Who knows though with Air Care Colorado. They'll probably flip out when they don't see a carb sitting on top of the motor. I've heard of people having cleaner running motors and failing their visuals because of the "technical rules."

Many states will allow a swap to a newer engine as long as all the smog equipment from that engine is intact. Thats how it is here in Smog-**** central. Theres other states that say you have to keep the smog equipment that came on the car. There are sometimes details of the engine being available in that model of car. And then theres places that just dont care at all.
There are so many varying laws I cant even keep track, nor would I want to.
