2 TPI Questions
1. I keep having problems with my runner/upper intake bolts coming loose causing vac leaks. This last time I installed the bolts with some blue loctite. Still came loose. Does anyone else have this problem? Ive wondered if there is a stud/nut kit, rather then bolt option?
2. These runner dent removal kits that are steel *****. Can someone give me the sizes of these? I ordered one off ebay and I've got shafted and already made a claim. Id rather just find these from a reputable company locally but I just need the size(s).

Re: 2 TPI Questions
i'm not sure how to fix your problem of the runners/plenum loosening other than to maybe try to reset all the fasteners. since the intake is so complex, I'll normally snug all the fasteners first, then tighten the middle runner bolts first, top then bottom, then the outer fasteners. then once they are torqued, start over and make sure they haven't loosened. factory runners should be pretty much dead on.
as for the runner dent removal, I just used the box ends of my metric and standard wrenches and slowly pushed out the dents, little by little. gradually increasing the size until it just fit in the runner, they are rounded and polished, so they don't gouge the runners. I stuck the runner in a vice at the flange, and just either pushed the wrenches in, or lightly tapped them with a rubber hammer. the nice thing is that when you get to the end, one of the sizes fits in there just perfect(cant remember which, 1" maybe?).

Some of the bolts from the runners to the plenum go in at an angle, but people try to put them in straight and cross thread the bolts. It could be that your bolt holes in the plenum have had the threads damaged to the point that they just won't tighten down enough to hold. Also, "ham fisted" people tend to overtighten bolts in aluminum castings causing the threads to pull out. I would remove the plenum and inst=pect the bolt holes very carefully. You probably need to invest in a Heli-Coil set to repair your plenum.

Russ, since you cant see me. I'm a small guy and am surely not over tightening the bolts. If anything, they are not tight enough. All bolts seem to thread down as they should. But I will re-inspect the threads next time I take it all the way out.
SL, Teflon tape? Hum, may give that a try.
