ive got an 86 305 TPI with 166,000 miles. is this to many miles to so any mods to the engine? and how many miles do some of yo uguys have on your TPI's?

Let me ask you this.What are your plans
if the motor goes.Just do mods that you can put on the next motor.Now no way am I saying
it's won't last.But try to think ahead.

does the engin smoke or leak, if so then it might be time for a new one, but if it still pulls then, why not mod it
i know this isn't totally the same, but my friend modified his 205,000 mile accord, and it still ran strong (it wasn't that fast-i think it did 16.0 1/4 times, but the engine still purrs)

I have 247,000 miles on my iroc and it still pulls 9.73 in the 1/8th mile and it is the stock 305 tpi. I know in my sig it says it's a 350 but it will be in this winter after Iget the new engine and trans in my GTA. THe trans took a **** on me and now is good time as ever to rebuild my engine. It didn't have enough power hell my camaro would run side by side and the GTA has the 350 tpi with 75000 miles on it. I think the 24# injectors has something to do with it since I still have the stock chip tuning.
