new in jectors? or no

ok, I am putting my 383 in prolly the middle of next weeka nd I need to know what to do with my injectors. . . I have the stock 22lb injectors, and I think I remember reading on some site that those can be used for a 383. Obviously I am eventualy going to replace them, especialy since I am going to be running juice in the spring, but until then for the break in period can I run the 22's?? can I just turn up the AFPR to get a lil more fuel in the cylinders and then replace them later on? I prolly won't be running it all too much anyways cuz it is going to be snowing here soon in CT, so the car won't see too much road time between now and march. any suggestions/coments would be appreciated, thanx.

My 383 is in the process of being built right now, hopefully to make it's debut by middle December. . . many more mods to come in the summer. . maybe some experimentations with juice. . have some track times my independence day.

kinda depends on how HOT you going with the 383.
24# is standard replacement. 26# if you are using
some upper compressions (10.5+ or better)
suggesting larger cams etc...
a 24# would do fine in a 10:1 224º @ .050"
cam running 5600rpm.

I am running 9.7:1 compression with decent cam, nothin too ruff, and the motor prolly won't even see 4 grand before I replace them at the end of the winter.

As long as your 22lb injectors are in good shape(not plugged or dirty) they will be fine for the break-in. However, do check your 02 mv with a scanner to tailor the fuel pressure. I believe you need around 850 mv at wide open throttle. Remember that the 02 sensor isn't extremely accurate, it's better to be slightly rich especially with a new motor. Also base your final injector size on engine alone. The additional fuel required to run NOS is added through the plate not the injectors.
