Stock plenum

i know that the stock base is the most restictive component after the throttle body, so that definatly has to go.
but what about the plenum? if i end up getting a 383 w/ a big cam and aftermarket heads would it really make a difference if i just keep the stock plenum and heavily port it. this is keeping in mind that i will get siamese runners and a better base.

DEFINATELY port the plenum!! Knock out the EGR walls just behind the TB entrance, and port match the plenum to the new runners since the plenum holes hardly match up to the stock runners correctly, I can imagine how bad it is with some nice SLP runners. You won't regret it.

Vader,

Everytime I see your stuff I swear that you were born to be a technical writer. Why isn't this circulated more often?

BTW, I just finished "detuning" someone's SLP system just this weekend!
